When I tell anyone that I am a High School Personal Finance Teacher, the response I get almost every time is: “I wish I had your class when I was in high school.” Truth be told, I wish I had my class when I was in high school. Being a teacher comes with many challenges, but I have the luxury of never having to answer the question: “When will I use this in my real life?” My hope is to help everyone increase their financial literacy, whether like my students you learned personal finance from a teacher and want to learn more, you formally or informally learned finance yourself or from someone you know, you are just starting or about to start your personal finance journey, or if you unfortunately have had to learn lessons in finance the hard way like most of us.
